This natural wonder has become a paradise that attracts Cubans and foreign tourists from across several nations who kneel down to its beautiful landscape.

This beach has inspired many poets like Banes born Luis Augusto Mendez, whose verses extol its nature gifted wonders.

Mendez was one of the first people to settle down there in early years of the 20 centuries.

Today, Guardalavaca ranks among the country's most important spas, which is visited by hundreds of tourists from Europe and Canada for the most part, but also from South America and Asia.

Guardalavaca has seen many gorgeous hotels rise to the blue, plus an extra hotel network to meet the needs of foreign visitors and the growing number of Cuban tourists that look for the different offers given in all the facilities.

The most famous spa in Banes watches at the future with construction of new rooms; therefore, the number of visitors will increase.

Guardalavaca that is bathed by the Atlantic waters has become a must for Cubans and foreigners; and has become one of the country's tourist references.

The northeastern municipality of Banes boasts of having other beautiful beaches, but nothing compared to Guardalavaca, already famous - which has consolidated for the past decades for all its beauty and its nice hotel staffers.

But Banes also gives visitors the chance of enjoying its valuable attractions: natural, historical and cultural, it is much more than pretty beaches.

The truth is that nature gave Guardalavaca and all other beaches located along the northeastern coast of Holguin province unique features that truly make them different in Cuba.

Everyone visiting Guardalavaca can admire its shell like coastal line, its coral reef to the north and woods and hills to the south whose vegetation bewitches climbers and campers.
