The meeting included a conference on the Family Code and the prospects for change, offered by Lic. Josee Carlos Guerrero Ricardo, prosecutor and member of the network.
The project, which was founded in Havana on February 4, 2011, extends to ten Cuban provinces and is part of the Social Media Community of the National Center for Sexual Education.
In Holguin, the group was created in November 20, 2015 and is currently composed of 25 young students and workers, who are developing a schedule of presentation in agencies and institutions of the province to promote their work.
According to its coordinator, Luis Felipe Maldonado Llaudy, the Network aims to contribute to increase awareness, education and to empower youth to be change agents in social transformation processes, associated with health and responsible exercise of sexual rights.
Work areas include issues such as sexual and reproductive health, gender and violence, STI-HIV/AIDS, as well as responsible parenthood among youths. / By Maria Martinez Peregrin - Ahora.
