The Vladimir Ilich Lenin general teaching hospital has been profiting from reconstruction and maintenance since works started in 2013 in the biggest health center in the northeastern province of Holguin.

Thanks to the ongoing investments, ward 2nd B profits from new services, among them an ecological double chamber incinerator; but they also finished the first stage of fixing of the electricity system there, plus the roof works of over three thousand meter square.
They plan to complete the repair of the laundromat before 2015 ends, as well as the kitchen-dining room, and the ward to treat infectious cases of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Julio Yamel Verdecia Perez, who runs the hospital, said that starting next year the investment will have a larger budget: three million 81 thousand pesos to be invested and a million 200 thousand pesos for repair and maintenance work.
Dr. Verdecia Perez also said there is development plan till 2020 which comprises all the construction and maintenance needs of that hospital, aimed at guarantying the patient's care, the confort of its staffers and families accompanying the people admitted there.
