Cuban Culture VP Toured Cacocum, in Holguin Province
Cuba's deputy minister of culture, Fernando Rojas, toured across cultural institutions of the inland municipality of Cacocum, in the northeastern province of Holguin, where he shared with staffers of the sector and assessed the present-day condition of the local cultural facilities.

Rojas, that was accompanied by the main political and government local leaders, extoled the role played by the Municipal Museum in its will of rescuing the values of identity, of the local history, the formation of vocation in the new generations, and the link between culture and education.

VP Rojas praised the work done at "El Principito" bookstore thru the promotion of reading habits.

Rojas assessed the reconstruction needs at the "Gilberto Gonzalez" culture center, and insisted that the furniture of the Theater and its stage needs change and repair.

During the visit, the country's VM of Culture saw the preparation of the jurisdiction sight the national checking, slated for the current November in the province of Holguin, where they will also check on the work by the provincial cultural centers. / By Jorge Luis Moreira Massague.
