Cuban Theater in English to Debut in the USA
The work Skyscrapers will make history next January as the first Cuban play performed in English in the United States, announced today Jazz Vila, one of the promoters of the event.

The play, now titled Skyscrapers, will be performed during an entire season at the Key West Theater thanks to the support of One Race, who is also for the first time involved in theater, as it usually focuses its interest in other arts.

Actress Broselianda Hernandez, who plays the role of Ana, one of the most veteran characters, told Prensa Latina that performing in English is a powerful experience and a great challenge to take another language without losing the freshness and spontaneity of the character.

This is an intimate work, as if someone saw through the hole of a lock what happened in every room, but we must expand it like in the cinema. All this is much more difficult to achieve in a language other than out own.

She considered Skyscrapers is not a piece for young people only; it deals with universal themes such as love, heartbreak and same-sex relations. / By Ibis Frade Brito - PL.
