The work of arts instructors from the north-eastern Cuban province of Holguin will be present in the Third Edition of the Escaramujo Prize, top laurel granted to the Jose Marti artistic group.

Holguin will be mainly represented by the fine arts, with works that mostly follow mixed techniques, acrylic and cancas, but also colography and oil on fabric.
The theater will also be represented in this Festival thru the Proyecto Ilusion, which does it fine in the municipality of Holguin.
Holguin, with not a large delegation, also calls on arts instructors from the municipalities of Banes and Calixto Garcia.
The Third Edition of the Escaramujo Prize will take place in the city of Bayamo (October 17 thru 19), which marks as well the eleventh birthday of the Jose Marti artistic group, slated for October 20.
The anniversary meets in time with Cuban Culture Day (October 20), which comprises artistic galas all across the province.
Prior the celebration of Cuban Culture Day, the members of the Jose Marti artistic group have performed in several activities organized all across the province, among them people's crafts fairs, competitions in different artistic expressions, the presentation of cultural projects and amateur artists in schools, culture houses and public spaces, as well as the acknowledgement to arts instructors with the most dedicated work.
