Those who enjoy the plastic arts have a very interesting proposal; it is the XXXII edition of the City Hall, in the Provincial Center of Plastic Arts.
An event which each year brings together the best plastic artists of this city and their creations.
This time without a doubt the exhibition attracts in a very particular way, because it shows a different proposal, it is about 20 creation projects and not the work itself. Dailé Escalona, one of the curators of the show together with Josvel Vázquez and Yanna Velázquez, explains what it is about.
Untitled (work in progress) that is exhibited in the Main Hall of the Art Center, gives the possibility that the artist proposes, the curator exhibits and the public receive a meaning in course, a work that has not yet materialized, which It makes them participate, all together, in the process of creation with a complicity that is almost never achieved when a finished work is shown.
In the words of the artist and professor Ramón Legón: "The object is not yet but it already has life as a progression and proposal that must be completed with the active participation of all those who concur in the phenomenon that constitutes the public exhibition".
The XXXII edition of the City Hall proposes on this occasion a different way to see works of art. Next Saturday, the City Awards will be announced in the category of Plastic Arts at the Comandante Eddy Suñol Theater, during the XXXVI week of the Holguin Culture Week.
