The microphone of the Cuban Radio, the highest award given by the media to creators and professionals with an outstanding career was awarded to Juan Carlos Gainza Galbán, the main specialist who handles Radio and Television transmissions in the municipality of Moa.
The high distinction was handed over by Moraima López León, Provincial Director of Radio, in the province of Holguín, who emphasized: "The workers of Radio Cuba accompany us every day in the world in radio broadcasts and without you it is impossible to transmit".
"We are the producers but you are the ones who help us and those who make what we produce come true and we have always worked together, that is the truth. We had made the proposal and it was approved, such is the case of Juan Carlos Gainza, one of the workers who has been in this activity the longest, and he helps both in Moa and in Sagua, because it must be said that when there is a problem in Sagua they call Gainza. "
The direction of the Cuban Radio decided to grant him the Microphone of the Cuban Radio in the context of the 95th anniversary. "It's simple," said Moraima, "but with a lot of love for Gainza and Radio Cuba."
Juan Carlos Gainza thanked with great humility: "It is an honor for me to receive such recognition, I really never expected this."
Gainza -as they all call him- has been on Radio Cuba for 33 years attending the transmitters, specifically, the closest relationship he has with La Voz del Níquel, he has done everything possible so that the Broadcaster always stays on the air, with good quality. He has also attended community stations including Moa television.
