Cuba: Workers Gear up for Massive May Day Marches
Cuban workers throughout the nation go on preparing massive mobilizations to back up the accords reached by the just concluded 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), as all unions and the non-state sector get ready to stage huge marches on May Day.

Cuban Workers Confederation leader Ulises Guilarte told Granma newspaper that workers have strong reasons to demonstrate with enthusiasm and activism on International Workers Day, and added that such action will be an expression of support to the main missions of the Cuban Communist Party, including economic development, the struggle for peace, unity and the firm ideology of the Cuban people.

The huge marches will be stage by both state and non-state workers in cities, squares, small settlements. In Havana, for instance, over 83 thousand people working in the non-state sector have confirmed participation at the march to be staged on the Jose Marti Revolution square. / ACN.

The need for unity is very well proven. Yesterday in Brazil an extreme right wing MP said that the Left had lost in 1964 and would again in 2016. In other words, he looked back with pleasure to a military coup that took place in 1964 and led to thousands being tortured, murdered and exiled. He hopes that the same will occur now.
