Cuba: Significance of 7th PCC Congress Extoled
Fidel Castro Ruz's presence in the closing ceremony of the 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) caused great emotion upon delegates, guests and the Cuban people, mostly because the Historic Leader of the Cuban Revolution is near his 90 birthday (next August 13th).

Lizette Sanchez, who is the delegate from Havana, commented that the entrance of Fidel Castro Ruz in the closing ceremony of that event was something desired and surprising at the same time as well as a unique and moving occasion for all the participants.

Regarding its results, Lizette Sanchez pointed that the expectations caused by the Congress that should be put into practice through the work and the application of all the approved by the grass roots organizations.

The hug given by Raul Castro Ruz to Fidel Castro, who is the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba and Army General and before the delegates, was the most moving one of those occasions lived in that event. It was felt a human attraction to the Revolution and the Socialism of which they are part and symbols.

Before that image, the delegate Maria del Carmen Chavez, said that she could not hold her tears about the Congress' transcendence and she pointed out that it had been a expression of the nation's politic and ideological maturity.
