Cuba: Jardines del Rey Welcomes More Tourists

Cuban tourist destination Jardines del Rey in the central province of Ciego de Avila will close 2015 with the welcome of about 426,000 tourists, 23 percent growth equal to the previous stage.

Iyolexis Correa, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) in Ciego de Avila, stated that Canada continues being the country's main tourist market, followed by the United Kingdom, Argentina, Portugal and Italy.

A group of rooms were equipped for the winter season, and the image of extra-hotel facilities improved, so the quality standards raised, to satisfy customers' demands, he said.

During a meeting with local journalists, the opening of two new hotels in December was informed, they are: Pullman Cayo Coco Hotel, with 192 rooms, with more than 500 it will have, and the Iberostar Playa Pilar Hotel, in Cayo Guillermo, with 482 rooms.

He stated that with the new accommodations, Jardines del Rey will reach about 7,500 rooms for the international and domestic tourism in 16 hotels, located in the Coco and Cayo Guillermo. / PL.
