Camaguey: Sugar Mills Test to Perfect Grinding
The sugar mills from the central-eastern Cuban province of Camaguey oiled up their machines during a test to detect and correct failures before the beginning of the grinding in mid-December.

Batalla de Las Guasimas sugar mill, to open the harvets in Camaguey upcoming December 15, is engaged in concluding a few works in the production area and in the boilers' house, where problems appeared in the start up.

Marvelis Ortiz Ocell, chief of the room of control and analysis of this industry, said to the ACN the personnel got enshrined to solve the difficulties detected in the examination carried out by specialists of the Camaguey Sugar Company.

The works are expected to end in the next hours in order to verify the equipments and systems before the starting.

The staff of Siboney central mill, the most stable in functioning and efficiency of the province, also conducts its test exercise.

In the second half of December, Camaguey will put in operations four sugar mills - Batalla de Las Guasimas, Siboney, Argentina and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes - and Brazil in January.

In accordance with the expected sugarcane harvesting, his availability is lower than that of the past harvest, partly due to the severe drought in 2015, which restrained the optimal development of the crops./ ACN.
