The 18 International Agricultural Fair that opened at Granma Fair Park, in the southeastern Cuban city of Bayamo, keeps attacting delegates and gowers to the the best livestock show and the rodeo skills in the event to run until December 6.

Presided over by the Commandant of the Cuban Revolution, Guillermo Garcia Frias, Sonia Virgen Perez Mojena, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and first secretary in the province, Manuel Santiago Sobrino, President of the Provincial Assembly of People's Power and other top representatives of the territory, on the fair's opening day the competitor teams were presented, a sample of cockfighting took place and some of the best animal examples brought to the contest were exhibited.
Among the competitors who showed their skills on knocking the cattle, in turning over the barrel against the clock and other livestock skills, were the members of the Havana, Villa Clara and Granma teams.
This time the event has more than 800 thousand samples of cattle, sheep, horses, pigs, buffalo and poultry.
During these days also will take place exhibitions and conferences on topics related to animal breeding projects, traditional games, dance shows and several culinary offerings.
Considered one of the most popular event of its kind in the eastern, the Granma International Agricultural Fair, this time is dedicated to the 59 anniversary of the landing of the Granma yacht, the founding of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the 39 anniversary of the creation of the National Enterprise for the Protection of Flora and Fauna. / By Mailenys Oliva Ferrales - Radio Bayamo.
