Int'l Agriculture - Ranching Fair in Bayamo, Granma
From November 28 thru December 6, the city of Bayamo will be holding the International Agricultural Fair, which is one of the most attractive events of its type in eastern Cuba. The meeting to be hosted by Granma Fairs Park, which besides showing top quality livestock, has also sheduled sport, scientific- technical, artistic and culinary events.

In its 18 edition, the fair provides rodeo, a horsemanship tournament, auctions of purebred foals and canine competitions, as well as the exhibition and evaluation of several species, Jose Enrique Alvarez, director the Granma Fairs Park explained.

This event, aimes to strengthening the cattle culture in the eastern region, will also foster the exhibition of more than 500 thousand specimens of cattle, sheep, rabbits goats, horses, pigs, buffalo and poultry, which attracting the attention of children and adults, he added.

The program of the activities includes a children's painting contest, traditional games, dance performances, and conferences on topics related to projects of animal breeding.

The organizers of the event stated that this time the fair is dedicated to the 59 anniversary of the landing of the yacht Granma, to the founding of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) and the 39th anniversary of the creation of the National Enterprise for the Protection of Flora and Fauna.

The International Agricultural Fair fosters the exchange between producers, benefits the development of livestock in the country, and is a great recreational choice for the people, where the livestock culture of the eastern region is rescued and preserved. / Radio Bayamo.
