Cuba and Turkey Improving Commercial Relations
Turkey and Cuba, from the geographical point of view are far apart, but for us it is a very close country, said Tarik Sönmez, Turkish vice Minister of Economy.

In a press briefing as part of the activities of the International Trade Fair of Havana, FIHAV 2015, the Turkish official said that this time they participate as a country in the fair through 10 companies and a delegation of 30 businessmen.

Sönmez noted his delegation is interested in investment offers that Cuba has and in increasing trade volumes between the two countries.

Pedro Luis Pedroso, director of European Trade Policy in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, said that neither the Turkish side nor the Cuban one are satisfied with the current level of relations.

Pedroso stated that there are many more possibilities and potential to develop and expects greater participation of Turkish businessmen in the whole process of updating the Cuban economic model. / CNA.
