In addition to Cubans residing in seven provinces, 67 from Holguin, two Sahrawis, two Argentines and three Mexicans who were not part of the crew from the latter country were on the plane.
So far, 15 bodies had been fully identified, including five children. The specialist insisted that the identification process is extremely complex and its completion could last several days.
However, he explained, they work 24 hours a day, in five work groups and have all the necessary conditions to speed up the results.
Dr. Jorge González, with great experience in this type of situation, highlighted the scientific seriousness with which he has been working and that in less than 24 hours all the corpses could recover in the midst of difficult climatic conditions.
A meeting of deep emotion happened later in the hotel Tulipán, where the families of the victims stay, when Díaz-Canel and Machado Ventura moved there and shared their pain with them.

The tour then followed the university hospital Calixto García, in which the three survivors of the plane crash were treated with great professionalism. Dr. Carlos Alberto Martínez Blanco, director of the institution, reported the state of health of the patients, qualified until that moment as an extreme critic.

Diaz-Canel and Machado Ventura talked with the relatives of the patients, were interested in the health status of the three compañeras and inquired about the frequency with which they received medical information about them.
The last item on the agenda was at the headquarters of the Cuban Aviation Corporation (CACSA), where the Havanan families of the victims are received and they receive medical, psychological and legal assistance. Those entail this type of situations.
