In an official visit arrived in this capital city Evo Morales Ayma, President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, who will carry out various activities and meet with the highest Cuban authorities.

Late Sunday night, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, received him at the José Martí International Airport in Havana.

Upon his arrival, Morales Ayma extended a greeting and congratulations to Miguel Díaz-Canel, recently elected President of the Cuban Council of State and Ministers, with whom official talks are expected to be held.

The Bolivian president affirmed that Cuba can count on the full support and solidarity of the people and the government he represents and that for his country and the rest of the nations, the island is an example to follow in the struggle for life and equality.

We are here to continue advancing in the revolutionary struggle, along the path that Fidel and Raúl left us, and to share new opportunities and work, he said.

He highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations, which is reflected in his visit, the second by a foreign president to the Caribbean nation after the completion of the election process on 19 April.

After the composition of the Cuban Council of State was made public, Morales Ayma wrote in his official Twitter account that this was the guarantee of deepening the revolutionary legacy of Commander Fidel Castro, his brother Raúl and the Cuban people.
As part of his agenda in Havana, Morales Ayma will place a floral offering to the National Hero José Martí, and will tour the facilities of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. With information of ACN
