Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo is the name of a new hotel which opened over the weekend in the central Cuban province of Ciego de Avila, thus taking the number of hotel rooms in that tourist resort to over 8 thousand.
The tourist resort, known as Jardines del Rey, was hard-hit by recent hurricane Irma. However, the rapid recovery actions made it possible to reopen the resort and even finish new facilities like the new hotel Grand Muthu.

The new five-star tourist facility is owned by the Gaviota Group and is initially offering 425 hotel rooms on the all-inclusive modality.

As part of the reanimation of tourist activity in the sun-and-beach destination, local leisure initiatives featured a carnival over the weekend and celebrated National Day of Tourist Workers.
