Ninety year old presenter Felix Gonzalez Vega is retired, but healthy, alive and kicking, to a point he still teaching and sharing experiences with the future presenters in the Cuban province of Holguin.

Felix, clear minded, brings back to the present time his early days as a worker, and his fruitful career at CMKO - Radio Angulo – the main station in the Holguin Province Radio Broadcasting System.

He first worked in the country's' Ministry of Communications, but that the radio was his passion.

Felix had the privilege of sharing work with legendary Manuel Angulo Farrans, but also as a person.

He praised Angulo's dedication to work and his altruism which he shared with all the staffers.

Felix was a renaissance man that became kind of a jack of all trades; he wrote radioscripts, he was an actor in drama shows, and was a remarkable presenter with a unique strong voice.

This professional man built a beautiful family, his daughter - Alica Gonzalez Dieguez – has followed his steps and is a presenter at CMKO and shares teaching with her father in Radio – TV presenting training courses.

Felix is pleased with the book he wrote on his many folded career.

He has been rewarded with many decorations for his remarkable and dedicated career.

"They are significant for me," he said, "you see they are kind of home ornaments."

If you go to Felix's house, you will not see too many ornaments, but for sure you will take notice of a space for several radios, an old record player, tape recorders, loud speakers, tapes that treasure old radio shows with the voices of presenters he had helped train.

No doubt all those items show his sense of belonging to the radio, as he assured he would be a radioman if he is born again.
